Jennifer JM Salisbury is an entrepreneur and business developer with 12 years of project management experience, including three years with direct qualification in nuclear propulsion. A 1998 graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, she was the first female aboard USS Shiloh (CG 67). She dual qualified surface warfare and conventional engineer. Jennifer graduated Naval Nuclear Power School with a GPA of 3.60 out of 4.0 for initial nuclear classroom training. Naval Nuclear Prototype Training, the practical and watch-standing aspect of nuclear training, challenged her as she graduated 3 of 21 watch officers – behind two previous enlisted nuclear officers. She lead 175 sailors and civilians during maintenance, major overhaul and dry dock period of the eight rectors aboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65). On “Big E” she became Nuclear Engineer certified by the Department of Energy. Separating from the US Navy, Jennifer worked as a nuclear auditor for Norfolk Naval Shipyard, hand-picked as the assistant to two Chief Test Engineers during three simultaneous aircraft carrier maintenance periods. In 2007, Jennifer was elected as the youngest member of the Maui Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. In June 2008, she was awarded membership in Hawaii State’s 2008 Class of “Forty Under 40” for her ownership of Platinum Business Development. Jennifer was also chosen for the key-note speaker at the Business and Professional Women’s Foundation Luncheon at the National Conference in Atlanta, GA in July 2008. She was also personally invited by Helen Irlen to speak at the 10th Annual Irlen International Learning Conference in Houston, TX for her ideas printed in her book The Cure 4 Common Learning. Her involvement in business varies from industries like insurance to credit card processing to coffee to private gymnasiums. Jennifer’s services include marketing analysis, strategic planning, manuals, web site design and maintenance, specializing in overall operational efficiency. Her latest unique invention “Business-In-A-Box” has been adopted by two national companies and continues to gain interest. Jennifer continues operating her companies in Hawaii virtually at her Canada home. In May 2012 she will earn her Doctorate of Education in Adult Learning and Higher Education from Walden University. Jennifer recently earned her BC Real Estate License and is color coding the Bible. Pursuing an on-line instructor position, Jennifer professionally speaks at events very frequently.
