Born and raised in a large Irish Catholic family, the subject of sex was never raised. Her only education on sexual health was when her mother gave her a pamphlet,  " A Doctor Talks to a 9-12 Year Old", when she turned 16.  When she became a nurse, she learned to appreciate and value the impact of sexual health on overall general health through her patients with chronic medical illnesses. She decided it was an important subject that warranted education and discussion for all to improve quality of life for women, men and children. She now educates patients, the public and health care professionals on this important subject to dispel myths and improve health. Her parents who taught her to value overall general health are regular listeners to her sexual health segment on the Christy Clark Show 980 am which airs the first Thursday of every month @ 2pm.
