Cheryl attended her first Jazzercise class in 1979, and from the very first dance step, she was hooked! The combination of dance moves and Top 40 music, the energy and positive motivation of the instructor, plus the sheer fun of it kept her going back for more. She loved the program so much that she became a certified instructor in 1981.
Over the years she has participated in the PNE Parade, the Whitecaps half-time show at BC Place, the Variety Club Telethon, the Terry Fox Run and many other community events. Her Jazzercise class raised over $4,000 for the BC Breast Cancer Society, and have also held fundraisers for the Food Bank and the local homeless shelter. This past May, Cheryl led 8,000 walkers in the warm-up at Stanley Park for the World Partnership Walk. She is currently an ambassador for Lululemon Metropolis and teaches 7 classes a week in Burnaby and Vancouver.
